profile
BALZAC is widely recognized as the Japanese counterpart to the American horror-punk band The Misfits, and the two groups have even established a close relationship over the years.
Blending the influence of horror movie lyrical themes and imagery similar to those found in the musical genres of early punk rock and doo-wop, BALZAC's lyrics are characteristic of horror films and novels, and their aesthetic is widely accepted as zombie-core. The influence from zombie movies can be seen in their "slasher" images and the predominant use of skeleton costumes.
